In a similar fashion to the original leak, these new images show a familiar looking packaging structure which contains the iconic Apple logo with “iPhone 6s” clearly displayed on the sides. In one of the images, the top of the box shows what appears to be a Gold or Rose Gold model iPhone 6s with a gold and black goldfish photo set as the background, similar to what was shown on the original leaked image last month.
The second pair of images show the Space Gray model of the iPhone 6s printed on top of the box, sporting a darker goldfish on a black background. The existence of these leaked visuals today seems to suggest the packaging will remain minimalistic by design, but also introduces additional questions relating to the Motion wallpaper feature that we’ve previously discussed.
The possibility of Motion wallpapers on the new iPhone is an interesting one. The feature itself was originally introduced with the Apple Watch, featuring pre-defined backgrounds such as moving jellyfish, animated flowers, and insanely beautiful butterflies that really make the display pop. Any iPhone 6s crossover would borrow heavily from that initial integration, and would also build on it by introducing newly designed backgrounds designed to show off the large Retina display that ships with the iPhone.
With now just 24 hours to go until the official device introduction at Apple’s media event, we’ll soon find out more about it.
